Small batch coffee mild and smooth

Layne & Shanda Ensz have perfected the process of roasting small batches of coffee beans to create something special.

Growing a coffee passion into a business — that’s the story behind Buckskin Road Coffee Roastery. Now operating out of the family farm’s refurbished barn near Inman, Kansas, there is nothing better than homegrown success.

Small batch roasting offers a level of control you can’t get with large roasters. It’s easier to monitor consistency in the roast and create a quality product every time. Buckskin Road roasts only seven pounds per batch and they do it expertly. #smallbatch

We opted to try the Organic Peru - Santa Elena blend, which offers your taste buds notes of nuttiness and chocolate. It is delicate in flavor and very smooth, which means this coffee is terrific with or without cream and sugar.

You can always tell a quality coffee because it doesn’t need additives to be outstanding.

We like to applaud small business success, so we applaud Buckskin Road with a big IMBHO-yes! Not only are they delivering a great product, but they are proving that passion and dreams are worth pursuing.

If you’re from the middle of Kansas, you can find this coffee in many places including Simple Abundance Farm in South Hutchinson, Moundridge Food Market, The Wool Market & DIY School in Hutchinson, Halstead Market, and Cornerstone Market in Inman.

If you’re not a local to the area, click into The Village of Artisans to purchase online or visit the Buckskin Road Facebook page for more information.

Whatever you do, go buy yourself some Buckskin Road coffee. It’s worth every penny!
