Summer grilling “hak”
It’s time to light up the grill. What do you have planned for your summer outdoor cooking pleasure? Perhaps a little BBQ?
How about some new flavor profiles to rev up your game? Chef Sharone Hakman can lend a hand with his specially-crafted condiments.
We picked up Hak’s products in our local Whole Foods. The packaging grabbed our attention. It’s clean and beautiful.
And beyond the perfect packaging, Hak’s organic sauces are on point in terms of flavor. IMBHO-yes!
We tried the Smoked Maple Mustard and Habanero Pineapple BBQ sauces. If you’re a fan of honey mustard, set aside your usual and pick up Hak’s version. The flavor nuances of smoke and maple lift the mustard to new heights.
If you like it spicy and sweet, you won’t go wrong with the habanero pineapple blend. Perfection! Not too spicy and not too sweet, but just right, Goldilocks.
The ingredients in all of Chef Hak’s products are “mindfully sourced”. They are organic, non-GMO, gluten free, and ethically sourced. As chef Hak says, “I believe that crafting the best recipes means mindfully sourcing the best ingredients. That means committing to quality, integrity, and transparency in everything we do.”
You can purchase these products on Amazon or directly from the Hak’s website. As you log into the product website, you’ll have the opportunity to get a 15% discount on your first purchase. If you spend more than $30, it’s free shipping.
Beyond BBQ sauces, Hak’s also offers salad dressing in a bottle or single-serve packets as well as cooking sauces and plated meals. It was hard to find the bottled salad dressing, so perhaps shop your Whole Foods to purchase it.
Single-serve packets of salad dressing run $9.99 for a 12 pack or $18.99 for a 24 pack. This is $1 less than Amazon’s price of $19.99 for a 24 pack. If you subscribe and save with Hak’s, you’ll earn an additional 10% off the purchase price.
We paid $6.99 for the BBQ sauce at Whole Foods. On the Hak’s website, it’s $7.99 for a one-time purchase. On Amazon it will cost you $13.89.
The salad dressings also are organic, with three flavor profiles available: olive oil & lemon, balsamic, and sesame ginger. We’re ordering the sesame ginger (yum!), so expect a follow-up on that product in the future.
What’s even better about these products is the story behind them. From a MasterChef finalist to creating his own BBQ sauce recipes and building a brand from the ground up, this is the story of an entrepreneur following his passion. #love
