Nutrient-dense Vite Ramen rocks!
Here’s a Kickstarter success story… two years ago two brothers put their two heads together and discovered you can’t live on ramen alone — or can you?
Well, you can if your ramen is nutrient dense, which is what twin brothers, Tim and Tom Zheng, set out to do. Vite Ramen sets itself apart from the competition by being nutritionally complete. Each serving gives you up to 31 grams of protein and 27 vitamins and minerals. You also get “supportive nutrition” with 9 grams of prebiotic fiber, MCT oil, and ALA omega-3.
What’s really cool about this product is the understanding this company has about perfection being an iterative process and their willingness to be transparent with the consumer. Vita Ramen continues to evolve and “patch notes” are provided on the website that inform the consumer about what’s changed with each ramen upgrade.
For instance, Vite Ramen is on version 1.2. Changes include higher protein, increased fiber, improved bioavailability, and added MCT powder. #allgoodthings
Thinking Differently: True entrepreneurs think differently, especially when things don’t go as planned.
The COVID-19 pandemic took all of us by surprise. Consumers sprinted to the store and purchased everything, stockpiling for the unknown. Grocery shelves were emptied and manufacturers struggled to keep up with demand.
As the dominoes continued to fall, shortages became real, and some of these shortages impacted the production of Vite Ramen. Ingredients became scarce.
Instead of packing up and waiting for the pandemic to pass, the Vite Ramen team started thinking differently and came up with the ingenious angle of selling Vite Ramen without the seasoning packets. They called them Naked Noods. #brilliant
This is what we purchased — two 6-packs of Naked Noods… nothing but the noodle brick. We took the Naked Noods and paired them with Massel’s chicken-style stock cubes (2 cups of water to 1 stock cube). Just as Vite Ramen outperforms its competition in the ramen market, Massel outperforms its competition in the broth and stock market. What a perfect pairing!
We cooked the Vite Ramen noodles for four minutes in our Massel broth and the noodle texture was perfect. There was zero dissension among the group and we all agreed, Vite Ramen is amazingly delicious. For those of us who are non-meat eaters, getting 23 grams of protein per serving elated us. Vite Ramen will become part of our vegan or vegetarian diets. #newnormal
Back up and running: Naked Noods are gone (sadly), but three flavor profiles are now available.
9-packs and 6-packs are available on the Vite Ramen website in Roasted Soy Sauce Chicken, Garlic Pork Tonkotsu, and Vegan White Miso flavors. You can also get a variety pack if you’d like to try all three. We’re going to purchase the Vegan White Miso, so stay tuned. We’ll let you know what we think in a future blog.
There are so many things we love about Vite Ramen, from the story to the product, and we can’t wait to see what this team of entrepreneurs does next!
