Primal Kitchen pasta sauce creamy, yet dairy free

If you’re in the market for pasta sauce, you should check out Primal Kitchen. This pasta sauce delivers on its promise to “add uncompromisingly delicious flavor to every single bite”.

It’s vegan, paleo and there is no added sugar. It’s also gluten free and has a supremely clean label with most of its ingredients organic, clear down to the organic vodka.

It’s dairy free, so how does Primal Kitchen get the sauce so silky? It has to be the cashew butter, though the sauce tastes nothing of cashews. The vodka adds a slight bite to the aftertaste, and all other ingredients round out the perfect red sauce.

We paired this pasta sauce with organic chickpea pasta from Thrive Market. The sauce coated the pasta, we added in some black olives, and soon the dish was history. It was a winner!

Primal Kitchen is one of our favorite brands for more than just pasta sauce. They offer a wide-range of products that fit different dietary lifestyles including Keto, Whole30, Paleo, Vegan, and Gluten Free. This company is considering what consumers want and not just filling a gap in healthy eating, but creating products that actually taste good.

The one thing we don’t see in Primal Kitchen’s current product lineup is a vegan mayo. There are other vegan mayos out there, but the ingredients are not clean and the taste isn’t great. We think Primal Kitchen could solve for this, though we recognize most of the Primal Kitchen products are geared toward Keto. #foodchallenge

The story behind Primal Kitchen is just as crazy good as the products. Founder, Mark Sisson, had to make a personal health change, and through years of research, he shifted his thinking about food. He started a blog in 2006, Mark’s Daily Apple, about the transformation in his life and his new way of eating. (Find out more here.)

“Eat like your life depends on it, because it does.” That’s a quote from Mark, and he’s not wrong.

For the Primal Kitchen brand and founder, Mark Sisson, it’s a great big IMBHO-yes!

When you clean up your diet and start eating real food, it's the sauces, dressing and toppings that can make an otherwise bland meal exciting.
