In my BRUTALLY HONEST opinion

Avoid the urge to Resurge

There are times in life when you get the short straw or have to take one for the team. This is one of those times. “Not it.” “Not me.” “Okay, I’ll do it.”

When trialing supplements, you never know what you’re gonna get. Unfortunately we don’t have a Mikey on the team, so the Editor gets appointed. That would be me.

I love my supplements, and I purchase them from companies I know I can trust. From my Omegas to my B complex to my probiotics, I have quite the arsenal. So when the team approached me about trying Resurge, I figured why not. I can simply add it to my daily regimen.

You know the old saying, “Me thinks thou doth protest too much?” Well… “Me thinks thou doth push too much!” Alarm bells went off in my head noting how this product is marketed. An inordinate, long video leads off the marketing campaign, with promises stacked on top of promises stacked on top of promises.

Furthermore, when I searched for Resurge on Google, I found pages of sites touting “It’s a Scam! Click Here Before Buying!” And when I clicked to these sites, it was another marketing ploy that lead me directly to the Resurge video. Everyone and their dog is trying to capitalize on the marketing of this product.

Okay… that’s fine. It’s a free-market society, thankfully, so sell away… but when something appears to be too good to be true, IT IS!

One of the major selling points of this product is its promise to give you nights of deep sleep—restorative sleep. Here’s what it says on the Resurge website:

“By naturally optimizing your deep sleep cycles, you can look forward to waking up to a leaner, healthier, younger and way more energized version of yourself in the bathroom mirror each and every morning...

Without having to change a single thing to do with your diet, exercise or lifestyle.”

I’m a light sleeper, so I looked forward to that deep sleep. BUT… I also recognize that taking a pill to lose weight, while not changing eating or exercising habits, is not going to magically strip off the extra pounds. Getting in shape and being healthy is a blend of diet and exercise. There are no short cuts!

I forged ahead and used this supplement for a full month… 30 days @ 4 pills per day. Here are my results:

During this 30-day trial my nights turned to restless, fitful bouts of sleep. Deep sleep my ass! It was more like sleep deprivation. I would go to bed, sleep for a couple hours then spend the rest of the night waking every 30 minutes to an hour. It was exhausting.

Not only that but I gained 8 pounds… yes, you read that right. EIGHT POUNDS! IMBHO-NO!!!!!!!

I stand 5’4”, so gaining 8 pounds is a big deal. Fortunately, I work out nearly every day, so the distribution of the weight is a bit different (compared to if I wasn’t working out) and I didn’t go up in pant size. After quitting the Resurge trial, I was also able to take off half the weight… I’m still battling the other half and it’s been a couple months. Damn you, Resurge!

With all that said, there is a real connection between a good night’s sleep and managing your weight. If Resurge worked and carried the body into the deep sleep that it promised, there could be some healthful benefits from it. But that’s not what happened to me. #truth

This is where we would typically include a video about Resurge, but we couldn’t find a single video out there that was telling the real story. We endlessly searched Youtube and only came across videos with links to purchase the product. Why is no one willing to step up and tell the truth? smh… unbelievable…
