Happy Birthday to me...

And Happy Birthday to you! Every day will be a celebration when you eat Birthday Cake Granola from the Safe + Fair Food Company. Everyone who tasted the granola had the same reaction: “It tastes like birthday cake!”

Better than that, this granola fits nearly all dietary lifestyles (with the exception of low carb) as it is “FREE FROM 8” of the top allergens including peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, shellfish and fish. It is vegan, Non-GMO, clean label and includes ancient grains. There are no artificial ingredients, no preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup, and no trans fat.

So here’s my question to you. When was the last time you had a birthday cake that fell into all of these non-allergen buckets? Dare I say never?

What Safe + Fair has done in creating this granola is nothing short of a miracle. Okay… it has sugar, but let’s not take all the fun out of this party.

The story behind this brand is just as incredible as the product. Best friends, Dave Leyrer and Pete Najarian, fathers to Abby and Remy, who both happen to have nut allergies, were frustrated out of the lack of safe foods for their kids. So they did what any good dad would do… they solved the problem by creating their own products and company.

And the story gets better. Not only did these dads create crazy-good products that are allergen friendly, but they are selling all their products at an affordable price. I kid you not… I have never seen these types of prices on products of this caliber.

Take for instance this Birthday Cake granola. It is a sizable bag (12 oz) and the price tag is $5.99. And there are so many more products with great prices. We will be saluting these dads and Safe + Fair with several blogs in the near future, so watch for those.

In the meantime, be sure to visit the Safe + Fair website and order their products, learn more about their story, which includes them donating 3% of their proceeds to the Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University. And be sure tell them IMBHO sent you their way!
