Sweet Loren’s GF cookies delightful

Clean ingredients. Irresistible taste. That’s the motto of Sweet Loren’s, and from the place and bake cookies we tried, this company stands up to its claims.

Sweet Loren’s is a woman-owned company, led by its founder, Loren Brill. After beating breast cancer, she took control of her health and cut out many of the unhealthy ingredients found in today’s processed foods, including hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors, most dairy and anything she couldn’t pronounce.

Taking it a step further, Loren developed recipes that she shared through products that are non-GMO, gluten free and plant based.

We purchased two of the place and bake cookies found in the refrigerated section of our local grocery retailer: chocolate chunk and sugar. Each package contained 12 cookie dough balls that baked up fresh and had fantastic flavors that hit all the marks of a great cookie.

We baked one set of cookies in a toaster oven , and one set in a regular oven. The toaster oven crisped up the outside of the cookies better and left us with a chewy texture on the inside. The cookies baked in the regular oven were much softer inside and out. Our preference? Toaster oven for sure.

While we watch out for sugar here at IMBHO, we’re talking cookies here, so yes, Sweet Loren’s cookies have sugar. If you avoid sugar at all costs, cookies are probably not on your list of foods to eat. But if you eat sugar in moderation and need a healthier sweet treat, this is a must-have cookie. Fresh and absolutely delicious and a big IMBHO-yes.
