The Good Crisp Company

Cheese puffs have never found themselves on my grocery list. I enjoy snacking on them occasionally if they’re handy, but I could never justify purchasing the snack.

These cheese balls are a different story! The Good Crisp Company strives to produce flavorful snacks without all the artificial ingredients. They started with gluten-free stacked chips and added cheese balls in 2021. Matt, the founder of the company, has three daughters, and one who battled Leukemia at birth. While Trixie is now cancer free, Matt still takes part in the fight against cancer by donating 5% of online sales to Light the Night. You can learn more about Matt’s family and The Good Crisp Company on their website.

We ordered our cheese balls from the Thrive Market for $3.59. It’s not an enormous package; it’s only 2.75oz, but I’d say the price is pretty reasonable.

True to their mission, the nutrition label on these cheese balls lists only real ingredients. The Good Crisp Company also produces snacks that are allergy friendly. They don’t include gluten, egg, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, sesame seeds, mustard or celery in their ingredients.

But let’s talk about the taste… does it pass the test with all the natural ingredients? IMBHO, yes! This snack was very flavorful! The crisp was just right, and the cheese flavor was nice and sharp. My kids kept begging for more!

There’s also a bonus ingredient in the cheese balls: wellmune. Not being familiar with this ingredient, I looked it up. The website says it is a yeast beta glucan that is clinically shown to improve immunity.

Matt explains this ingredient on the back of the cheese balls’ packaging:

“When our daughter was having chemo, I saw how vital our immune system is and the amazing work it does to keep us healthy. After we took all the nasty stuff out of these cheese balls, I wanted to put something good back in. That’s why we added Wellmune which helps strengthen the immune system and enhances its key functions. I hope your children find this addition beneficial.”

In April 2021, IMBHO reviewed the original product from Good Crisp. Here’s the link. It’s worth the read!
