Yup! Please? …No, thank you!
Daniela Kratz started Farmhouse Lab in 2016 to offer customers a healthier choice of dressings. All her products are non-gmo, vegan, and allergy friendly. Kratz doesn’t include wheat, nut, dairy, soy or preservatives in her ingredients. Although some ingredients seem a little unusual to me, I appreciate the use of real and simple ingredients in Farmhouse Lab’s products.
When I visited the company’s Instagram, my mouth watered to see all the delicious pictures of healthy salads and veggies. The website is also very attractive and well put together. I greatly admire the Kratz’s mission and focus on health and sustainability.
A handful of different dressing flavors are available on the website. However, $16.99 for an 8-ounce bottle seems pretty pricey to me. We chose the Yup! Please, kid-friendly flavor for $10.99.
The aroma that drifted out of the bottle when we opened it nearly knocked us off our feet. It was very strong and not in a good way! Though the flavor was more tolerable, we still didn’t enjoy it.
My husband chickened out on tasting the dressing after he got a whiff, but my 4-year-old and I bravely dipped our fingers in for a taste. The strong vinegar and mustard flavor overwhelmed my taste buds. Mind you, I am not a mustard fan. I tried the dressing later on some chicken I made for dinner; however, I just couldn’t bring myself to like it.
