Belgian chocolate a winner
There’s something about Belgian chocolate—the way it melts in your mouth—that simply isn’t found in other types of chocolate. I found this to be true with these extra dark chocolate wedges from Trader Joe’s. They come in a snack tin, so it’s 16 pieces equating to 3.5 oz of chocolate. This makes it easy to throw in your bag and curb that sweet tooth with a single wedge anytime, which gives you 5 grams of net carbs.
Sometimes the bitterness of dark chocolate can be overwhelming, but this 73% Belgian Cacao is not bitter at all. The packaging is right on par when it states, “pure, smooth, rich & robust Belgian chocolate”.
I paid $3.49 for this tin of chocolate, which is a bit higher than a quality chocolate bar; but the convenience factor makes it worth the price. I often buy whole chocolate bars and then break them into pieces to eat, since I have a self-imposed rule about eating only a small bite of chocolate at a time.
This definitely is a sweet treat I will purchase again, and I’m pretty sure I can find some ideas from Pinterest on how to re-purpose the tin.
