Is Mike’s mighty good?
We’ve been doing our homework when it comes to ramen noodles, and while we’ve found a home-run with Vite Ramen’s noodles, we haven’t found the perfect flavor packet accompaniment.
Mike’s Mighty Good craft ramen misses the mark, in our opinion. The flavor packet, while better than Vite Ramen’s Vegan White Miso flavoring packet, still doesn’t connect with the palate in an explosion of goodness. It’s ho-hum at best.
While we like that Mike’s is playing the organic card, the noodles served up a bland, uninteresting and lifeless experience. There was no heartiness to the bite, and the amount of noodles you get in Mike’s versus the noodle mania you get with Vite Ramen? Well, there’s no comparison.
Mike’s does give you a cleaner label than Vite Ramen, so we skip the Vite Ramen flavor packet and pair it with Massel stock. That gives us everything we’re looking for in a ramen bowl—hearty noodles in a sensational broth.
Mike’s Mighty Good launched its ramen noodle product line in 2017 with a goal of creating innovative and non-traditional flavors paired with organic noodles. Sold in over 9,000 stores nation-wide, this company claims to be the fastest growing ramen brand in the market. You can find Mike’s in many retailers, including Whole Foods, Publix, Sprouts, Walmart, and Safeway.
What we like about Mike’s philosophy is how they want to bring the “ramen bar” to every household. That sounds fun! And perhaps creating a little extra love with added veggies and mushrooms is just what Mike needs to really make it Mighty Good!
