I wanted to like this product, because when you eat low carb, coming up with something deliciously sweet is difficult. I like the fact this product is sugar alcohol free, because sugar alcohols can make the belly moan.

I like the fact that there are 13 grams of dietary fiber in a bar (16 grams of carbohydrates), which gives you only 3 net carbs. I like the short and clean ingredient list that includes Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans. I mean, come on! That must be good.

But sadly enough, the addition of the monk fruit extract created such a terrible aftertaste, I’m not a fan. I wanted to be a fan…but I’m not a fan.

Furthermore, while the texture was good, the package I purchased with an 8/12/20 expiration date had a bit of a stale smell. Maybe my nose is just too sensitive, but it’s hard to eat something when your nose is telling you, “No!”

Perhaps you’re not a monk fruit hater so you might like this product. If that’s the case, be sure to visit the Choc Zero website for more information.
