Straight up. The peppermint is beyond amazing. #favorite

Welcome to a cup of … not coffee, but cacao. Crio Bru roasts cacao beans then grinds them into the perfect consistency for brewing. Whether you use a french press (like we did) or a regular coffee maker, you can enjoy a cup of cacao that will give you a lift without overloading you on caffeine.

What we like best about this product is you can have a cup of “hot chocolate” where you control the amount of cream and sugar added. For anyone who needs to monitor blood sugar levels, you can now enjoy your hot cacao, too! IMBHO-yes!

We tried the Colombia Crio Bru and the Peppermint Light Roast. Both were amazing, but peppermint was by far our favorite. It was so good we felt a little guilty drinking it.

Never have we ever had anything so smooth and rich. The Colombia has a deep, dark chocolate flavor and the Peppermint has a lighter chocolate profile with the perfect hint of peppermint. We added some cream to ours and it simply became sinful — delicate yet intense. We know without a doubt, Crio Bru is going to become a favorite in our house (and hopefully yours), with peppermint Crio Bru becoming a highlight of the holidays.

Honest Energy

Brewed cacao contains theobromine, a naturally occurring stimulant found in cacao that can be more pleasant than caffeine. Theobromine gives you longer lasting, milder energy without the jitters and crash that can come from caffeine. You’ll also love that brewed cacao is 99.9% caffeine free and its boost of natural energy feels akin to a goodnight’s sleep. (Source: Crio Bru website)

Crio Bru is kosher, gluten free, dairy free, non-GMO, sugar free and the list goes on and on. It is loaded with antioxidants and considered a superfood. Need we say more?

The company also has a commitment to sustainability, working directly with Fair Trade Certified farmers.

The President and CEO of Crio Bru is Eric Durtschi, who is also the founder of Crio Bru. According to an article from the Daily Herald, Durtschi has always had a passion for chocolate, and he wanted to take it back to the basics without all the added sugars and other ingredients. This led him down the path to the creation of Crio Bru.

You know how we love stories about entrepreneurs, and Durtschi’s Crio Bru is just that. Man meets chocolate, finds passion in chocolate, and re-thinks how we consume chocolate. Yes!
