“If you like pickles, this is going to be your next favorite thing.” — Brian (Co-founder)

Are you kidding? Salsa made without tomatoes? Yep! That’s what you get with PickleSmash Salsa.

We had a lot of taste testers for this one, serving PickleSmash with tortilla chips. Comments were as follows:

  • “I can definitely taste the pickle.”

  • “Pickle life 4ever!'“

  • The mild has the right amount of heat and the pickle isn’t overpowering.”

  • “Love the pickle taste.”

  • “The medium has more spice. Better than the mild.”

  • “My favorite is the medium. I like the heat and you can taste the pickle.”

  • “Hot — best salsa ever! Can I take home the jar?”

  • Where is this made? Texas? That’s why it’s so hot. It’s Texas Hot!!”

With all the positive comments and buzz created from PickleSmash Salsa, we must give it an IMBHO-yes!

To be fair, there were a couple in the test group not fond of dill pickles. One tester commented, “Pickle not my favorite taste.”

It’s dill pickle salsa, folks. If you don’t like the dill, then don’t take the deal.

Beyond the big test group, I wanted to try PickleSmash in the same way I use dill pickles, so I added it to a grilled cheese sandwich. It was good, and created a unique flavor profile to the grilled cheese. I’m thinking it might go well in dips or with cream cheese, too, offering a nice twist on expectations.

Speaking of recipes, the PickleSmash website has several recipes on it, including PickleSmash Queso, PickleSmash Chicken Marinade and PickleSmash Deviled eggs, to name a few.

The main ingredients in the salsa are cucumbers, onions and vinegar. There are some other seasonings and spices, too. And it’s with fair warning that we tell you this product does contain monosodium glutamate (MSG). If you stay away from MSG, unfortunately you’ll want to stay away from PickleSmash. Maybe in the future the PickleSmash team will find a way to nix this from the ingredient list, then this product will become an even bigger smash hit!

You can purchase PickleSmash Salsa on the company’s website for $19.95, which gets you a 3-pack. Shipping costs $5.00 for a total of $24.95. Shipping time is reasonable and packaging is impeccable, which always makes a good impression. (You can also order on Amazon for the same price.)
