Dang...that's bad!

It says something when you take a bite and instantly grab your water bottle. That’s what happened when I tried the Dang Bar (both toasted coconut and cardamom chai). I’m still sitting here trying to get the taste out of my mouth, but something I just ate coated my mouth and I can’t get it rinsed away.

These are plant-based Keto bars; it’s always tough to find good snacking items that fit this eating lifestyle. Each bar has 5 grams of net carbs and 9 grams of protein, but that’s where the positives end.

One of the taste testers said she felt like she was eating a bar of soap when she took a bite of the cardamom chai bar. I have to say I agree. While soap eating may be a thing on “My Strange Addiction”, it certainly isn’t part of my eating repertoire, or any of the others on the team here. So it’s a hard pass and a gigantic IMBHO-no.

The story behind the Dang company is fun, and actually named after Vincent’s mom. (Vincent is the CEO and founder). You can find more about their story here.

While I haven’t tried their other products, these Dang bars just don’t meet the good-eating challenge. You can find out more about Dang here.

What are your favorite snack bars? Do you know of any good Keto snack bars that don’t leave an aftertaste? We’d love to hear from you!
