If you’re a cauliflower lover, these crackers are made for you.
If cauliflower is just okay but not something you crave, these crackers might put you on cauliflower overload.

There is no mistaking that From the Ground Up’s crackers are made from cauliflower. The flavor profile is cauliflower-forward, even leaving you with leftover cauliflower taste when you quit eating the crackers. There is plenty of salt and even though these are vegan, there is a distinct cheesiness to these crackers.

The crackers are crispy and certified gluten free. The only reason they get an IMBHO-maybe is because the cauliflower is intense and can be too much for some people.

We had no luck finding information on the company behind this product; however, our research revealed that From the Ground Up has partnered with Halen Brands, founded by entrepreneur Jason Cohen.

Halen Brands’ business philosophy is “maximizing the power of a brand through craft, character and inspiration.” Other brands partnering with Cohen’s business include: Core Hydration (pH water), Owyn (plant-based protein drink), Joyfuls (bite-size chocolates) and Chef’s Cut (premium beef jerky).

While we didn’t intend to focus on Halen Brands in this blog, this company fascinates us. We found a couple videos on Jason Cohen and his business philosophies and shared those with you below.

Here are five key takeaways from these videos:

  1. Cohen understands the value of building relationships in business.

  2. He recognizes that moms are great brand ambassadors, if they like a product. #mompower

  3. He realizes that a product must taste good; otherwise, consumers will only buy it once.

  4. He gives all the credit to his team and even gives his team equity in the business. #goodbusiness

  5. His key to success is hiring the right people.

While we give From the Ground Up crackers a Maybe, we give Jason Cohen a big IMBHO-yes!
