Kidfresh all about the kids

Look at the Kidfresh team photos on the website and you’ll see childhood images. Priceless. This speaks volumes to how this company puts kids first.

Started in 2007 as a retail store in New York City serving wholesome meals for kids, Kidfresh has evolved into distributing its kid-friendly products in 10,000 stores nationwide. In 2019, they even launched into the breakfast category with better-for-you waffles.

We picked up the Kidfresh gluten-free white mac ‘n cheese in our local grocery store’s freezer section. The cool thing about many of the Kidfresh products is the hidden vegetables. That’s right. You can feed your kids vegetables and they won’t even know they’re eating them. That’s a bonus for busy moms with kids who are picky eaters.

In the GF mac n’ cheese, white beans give the extra veggie boost. This makes the texture of the sauce slightly grainy, but nothing that dissuaded any of us to not eat it. It had a good mac & cheese flavor profile,  it heated in the microwave nicely, the pasta cooked perfectly, and it had plenty of creamy sauce.

To round it out, this GF mac ‘n cheese serves up 12 grams of protein, no artificial ingredients, no synthetic colors and no preservatives. Although not organic, the ingredient list is clean.

Great flavors, hidden vegetables and gluten-free options. Sounds like an IMBHO-yes to us.

Be sure to visit the Kidfresh website for more information on their line of kid-focused products. They also have a section on Kid’s Nutrition that’s worth visiting.

While we typically don’t share third-party reviews, this YouTube video is worth sharing… straight from the mouths of babes.
