Look no further than Amy’s Kitchen.

It’s nice to enjoy the simple things in life and finding a frozen burrito that is plant-based and delivers on flavor is a true find. Amy’s offers a lot of great products for the plant-based and gluten-free lifestyles and we’ve never found an Amy’s product we didn’t like.

While we would love to always eat homemade meals, we are the working class, raising kids, and we don’t have a personal chef. So sometimes there is a need to find frozen meals that support our dietary lifestyles that, although processed, offer “healthier” options.

Amy’s plant-based, non-dairy burrito includes organic beans and rice. It delivers the full flavor you expect from a burrito, even without the meat and cheese. It’s a fan favorite, to be sure, and a few minutes in the microwave provides 10 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber, with only 2 grams of sugar. The label is clean, with non-gmo and organic ingredients.

This is not a gluten-free burrito. However, Amy’s has two gluten-free options: one with cheese and one that’s non-dairy and plant-based. Whatever your choice, these frozen burritos are amazing!

Other vegan favorites on Amy’s menu include the newly introduced broccoli & cheeze bake, the chili mac & cheeze and the vegan supreme pizza, to name a few. So many options!

On the gluten-free side, there are even more symphonies of flavor with a 4-cheese pizza, a new mac & 3 cheese with cauliflower bowl, and one of our favorites, the 3 cheese & kale bake bowl.

With all Amy’s frozen entrees, the portion sizing is right so you don’t leave hungry.

We often purchase our Amy’s products at Walmart, but they can be found in any grocery retailer. There are often promotions that allow us to pick up these items on sale, and we keep our freezer stocked for those times when work has drained us and fixing dinner is the last thing we want to do.

Amy’s gets a big IMBHO-yes and a “thank you” for providing quality products at affordable prices.

In our Real Food series, we explore the rise of the organic food industry. More people are willing to pay premium prices for food grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers despite the fact the science behind the purported health benefits remains unsettled.
