In my BRUTALLY HONEST opinion

Super Coffee super sweet

Zero grams of sugar, 80 calories, and 10 grams of protein is what you can expect from the Kitu Super Coffee, which is a blend of coffee, whey protein and MCT oil. All good things. What you might not expect is the jolt of sweetness you get with this enhanced coffee beverage. It literally punches you in the face.

Sweetened with Monk Fruit (fourth on the ingredient list), all the taste testers were taken aback with the overload of sweetness. It was so sweet it was hard to uncover the coffee flavor.

We all agreed the aftertaste wasn’t too bad, which you often get with naturally sweetened beverages or foods. That was a plus. And while none of us could fathom ever drinking this beverage straight, we all agreed it might be good in our morning coffee, a small dose at a time blended with some heavy cream.

This product does boast no lactose, no gluten, no carrageenan and no sugar alcohol, and it is marked Keto and Non-GMO. More positive vibes there.

Futhermore, we all agreed if the level of sweetness were taken down to half of what it is currently, we would purchase this product again. As it stands now, it’s likely that none of us will ever purchase it again, which forces our hands to give this product an IMBHO-no.

Kitu does have a fun story. Started by the “little brother” in his dorm room, Super Coffee went from a dorm-room business to hitting the shelves in Whole Foods. Be sure to visit this link to learn more.
