Wickedly Prime is an Amazon Private Brand. It’s the company’s first major push into perishable foods. You can think of it like a Trader Joe’s brand. Trader Joe’s stocks its stores with products that have the Trader Joe’s label. Even though it’s Private Brand or Store Brand (also known as private label), you’re still getting the same quality because products are produced by third-party manufacturers that also produce the name brand products like PepsiCo and Snyder’s-Lance. The only difference between a Private Brand product and a national brand product is the price, with Private Brand holding a substantially lower price.
While we couldn’t find any information on price differences between Wickedly Prime and national brands, we did find that Trader Joe’s products are 37 percent cheaper than national brands on average. (Source: eater.com)
Also, don’t think of Store Brands as generic because they are anything but “generic”. Store Brands offer the same quality as national brands and often even better quality.
