Corona with lime, please.

My wife likes to try new things. About a year ago, she introduced me to lime oil. While she used it in her diffuser, blending it with other oils, my mind went elsewhere.

Lime is one of my favorite child-hood aromas, from real limeades to lime sherbet and key lime pie. As an adult, when I got my first whiff of this lime oil, it wasn’t sherbet or pie that came to mind, but beer.

I’m an old Corona guy and have always had issues with fresh limes…too bitter, too small, are they really clean? This essential oil solved all my lime problems.

My first attempt at mixing this oil and Corona was simple. Open a bottle of Corona, add one drop of lime oil, finger over bottle top, invert the bottle several times. This is the perfect blending technique. Oh, and that first swig of Corona mixed with essential lime oil was magical. The best limed Corona I had ever tasted.

My friends and family didn’t get on board at first, warning me, “You’re not supposed to drink that stuff!” I wasn’t sure if it was the beer or the lime oil they were referencing, but it didn’t matter. Once I told them this oil was food grade and convinced them to give it try, they were hooked as well. In fact, some, like me, never leave home without it.

It is important to remember that not all essential oils are created equal, but doTERRA does it right, and I highly recommend their lime oil for all beer lovers who enjoy the fresh citrus sensation.

One bottle of this oil runs around $18, and that’s a real bargain. Each 15ML bottle is approximately 250 drops. That’s enough oil for 10 cases of Corona! So grab some doTERRA essential lime oil and give it a try. You’ll be hooked as soon as you get your first taste of the best lime beer ever.
