From soap to chocolate?

Dr. Bronner’s produces 70% dark chocolate balanced with notes of caramel and a rich nuttiness. We tried the salted dark chocolate bar and it delivered on its promises with a good edge of salt breaking through the bitterness of the cacao. If you’re a dark chocolate lover, you definitely should check out this line of magically delicious chocolate bars. Other varieties include: salted whole almond, salted almond butter, crunchy hazelnut butter, roasted whole hazelnuts, and smooth coconut praline.
We purchased our chocolate bar from Thrive Market for $4.99. Perhaps a little pricey, but these chocolate bars stand for so much more than a sweet treat. You can also purchase them from Amazon or Hive.
The company works with Swiss chocolatiers and farmers part of the Regenerative Organic Certified Serendipalm project in Ghana. All chocolate bars are made with fair trade chocolate. IMBHO-yes!
But what we like even more than the chocolate is the company—a company that stands for fair and equitable pay. When was the last time you heard of a company that caps the earnings of its highest-paid executives so it can invest in its workers? All Dr. Bronner’s employees get 10% of their annual salary paid into a retirement/profit sharing plan. They also get up to 10% in annual bonuses… AND all employees are enrolled in the company’s no-deductible health insurance plan. That’s zero out of pocket for health care!
There is so much more to Dr. Bronner’s story. The company website if full of great information and thought-provoking commentary. The stories told by Uncle Ralph are so fun to hear—and it shows there are good people in this world.
There are 150 years and 5 generations of socially- and environmentally-responsible decisions that built this company’s foundation. And the humor of the Bronner family is an added bonus. IMBHO-yes! We need more Dr. Bronner’s in this world.
