With a mission of giving more people access to nutritious juice, Evolution Fresh was founded in 1995. Sourcing 93% of its fresh produce from the western U.S., this company focuses on cold-pressed juices that are Non-GMO Project verified.

The best part of Evolution Fresh is they spanned the U.S. in 2013 and are available in Starbucks, Whole Foods and Kroger locations, to name a few. An 11 oz bottle of juice runs $3.99 or you can purchase a 32 oz bottle for $7.99, which is a better deal.

We tried the Organic Super Fruit Greens, which is a blend of orange, mango, pineapple, cucumber, spinach, romaine and kale. It isn’t overly sweet (no sugar added to these drinks), but it’s definitely sweet enough. And there are grassy notes to the flavor profile, which many of us liked. It’s a good balance of feeling like you’re drinking something healthy and happy that it actually tastes good. IMBHO-yes!

There is a distinct difference between pasteurized and cold-pressed juice.

Cold pressed protects the flavor and the nutrients of the raw fruits and vegetables. Keeping it refrigerated throughout the minimal processing keeps the taste as fresh as if you picked from the tree or vine. Products that use heat in the manufacturing process literally kill the nutritional value of foods and beverages.

Because this is a cold-pressed juice, its shelf life is shorter, but that’s a good thing. You get more nutritional benefits and you won’t be able to resist drinking it anyway. #WinWin #IMBHO-yes!

Starbucks acquired Evolution Fresh in 2011 with a goal of making “wellness more accessible to all”. This has helped the brand grow exponentially.

“Career opportunities at Starbucks are as diverse as our family of six brands, and our eight plant facilities located all around the United States. At Evolution Fresh in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, our manufacturing and distribution partners (employees) help us produce juices and natural foods that provide high-quality, wholesome, delicious and accessible nutrition to consumers. Evolution Fresh is one of the few major juice companies in the U.S. using high pressure processing (HPP) to safely deliver more of the flavors, vitamins and nutrients of raw fruits and vegetables. At Starbucks it all comes together. Connect with something bigger, have an impact every day, and work someplace truly great.
