Good fish NOT good
We were quick to judge on this one, as in “Quick, spit it out!” IMBHO-no-no-NO!
To be sure that we didn’t judge too quickly, we shared the love with neighbors, friends, co-workers and family. Not a single person took more than a few seconds to make a face and grab something to drink. In fact, we may have lost the trust of a few friends along the way for bringing them into our taste test.
“That is horrific! It reminds me of that food you feed your fish. That’s what it smells like, too.”
”I like fish, but this is really, really fishy. Tastes like fish bait!”
One of our testers came back the next day to let us know, 24-hours later, she was still dealing with the aftertaste. She assured us she had brushed her teeth (multiple times), but she couldn’t get away from the fishy-fishy flavor. This is why we elected to not let our Italian Greyhound girls eat this fish snack… lingering, dog-laden fish breath. No, thank you!
So you may wonder, why the heck would you try this product? A couple of reasons… I like fish, and during one of my trips back East a couple years ago, I had a beautiful salmon filet in a restaurant and it was topped with this amazing, crispy fish skin. #sogood
When Good Fish hit my radar, I reminisced again about the fantastic meal I had and recognized this could be a healthy alternative to potato chips. I was wrong!
This takes us back a few months when we had high hopes for and reviewed FLOCK Rotisserie Chicken Chips, a crispy chicken skin snack. #feathers
If you look closely at some of these fish skins, you’ll see it. #scales
Strike two for eating animal skin snacks!
Good Fish is not cheap, either. Eight bags (approximately 6 pieces of fish skin per bag) cost us $25 plus shipping. And here we sit with several unopened bags. Ugh!
