Would these taste like cabbage? That was our first question when we ventured into Kraut Krisps from Farmhouse Culture.

Cabbage has a distinct flavor, somewhat peppery and a little harsh, with a lingering taste in your mouth. Cook it in your home and you’ll walk in several hours later to the smell of hydrogen sulfide. #NotPleasant

We expected the Kraut Krisps to take on the strong cabbage flavor, especially since the bag touts “Cabbage Chips”. To our surprise, they did not. Instead they had a subtle sauerkraut flavor that yielded to a dill pickle surprise. As we ate the crisps and let the flavors linger, we noted the corn masa coming through, and it tasted much like the masa surrounding a tamale. We were hooked.

The only drawback to these flavorful crisps was the seasoning did have a slightly powdery feel to it. But the taste kept us going back for more.

We also liked the clean label of this product with its organic ingredients and no artificial flavors or preservatives. #CoolAsCabbage Farmhouse Culture gets an IMBHO-yes for its Kraut Krisps.
