Too much caffeine and you’ll find me hanging from the ceiling. It’s easy for me to OD on caffeine; what can I say, I’m a lightweight.

When Instagram pinged me with the müv energy chocolates ad, I took notice of the “No Jitters or Crash” claim and immediately clicked on the ad. With my early-morning workouts and late afternoon blahs, a jolt of energy without side effects could do me good.

To properly test this product, I took it on two different days at two different times. The day I received the chocolates in the mail, it was 3 p.m. when I pulled the first one from the bag. This was a test for sure, since I had been up since 2:30 a.m.

Typically, I abstain from caffeine in the late afternoon because it interrupts my sleep routine, which is important since I get up early every day thanks to an Italian Greyhound, Olive. Our morning routine includes an outdoor potty for Olive and a cup of coffee and some trash TV for me, after which I head to my home gym for my daily workout.

When I opened the bag of müv energy chocolates, I discovered eight individually-wrapped chocolates. It’s nice to have each chocolate wrapped to maintain freshness. I appreciate this.

The flavor I tried was coconut, because müv had a promotion where the chocolates were free and all I paid was shipping. A real bargain, so I wasn’t picky.

While I didn’t get much coconut flavor from the chocolate, which was sweet with a slight bitterness at the end, it had good flavor and texture. After consuming the first chocolate, I waited to feel the effect from the 150 mg of caffeine, but didn’t note a big swing in my energy.

However, about an hour later, my entire house was swept and cleaned. Wait! What? I guess it gave me an energy boost.

Even better, by 8 p.m. I was ready to wind down for the night—a good thing since Olive had already taken over my spot in the bed.

The next morning, I was up by 3:30. (That’s called sleeping in at our house.) Instead of drinking my morning cup of coffee, I fixed a cup of hot green tea and ate a müv truffle while watching some trash TV. By 4:15, the TV was off and I was working out. This was my most energized workout in a long time.

müv energy chocolates do as they say and provide you with a burst of energy. I had no jitters and no crash, which amazed me. The bag of eight chocolates cost $5.99, or you can get a bag of 30 chocolates for $19.99. You can also sign up for a monthly subscription and save a little.

I placed my second order today for the coffee and mint varieties of these chocolates and am excited to share them with some of my co-workers. If I see someone yawn in the afternoon, I will give them a chocolate!

Unfortunately, I couldn’t find much information on the company behind the product, but I found the video posted below on YouTube. Colby Leatham, who is the CEO/Founder of the company, posted it.

If you need a burst of quick energy with no side effects, you must try müv energy chocolates. Here’s a link to their website. Be sure to tell them IMBHO sent you their way!

Update: We ordered more … and now we’re on the subscribe & save program. Woo-hoo!

This time we purchased the coffee energy truffles and the mint energy truffles. Coffee is fantastic and perfect for the early morning energy boost before a workout. Skip drinking your coffee—eat it instead. The mint energy truffle is great for the afternoon blues when the clock ticks slow and your mind is frazzled from the day.
