Catch a Wave Soda
Not all flavored sparkling waters are created equal, and Wave Soda proves it.
We had an outdoor BBQ recently with several co-workers and friends — social distancing, of course — and we provided them with a lot of drink options. Besides beer, which is an obvious choice for a BBQ, we had a cooler of sodas (Pepsi, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Ginger Ale), a cooler of Gatorade, and a cooler of sparkling waters (Wave Soda and Aha). No one touched the regular sodas, a couple Gatorades were gone, the Aha brand sparkling water lay in the icy water looking terribly disenfranchised, while the Wave Soda was gone!
Wave Soda is different. Nothing artificial, no added sugars or sugar alternatives. It’s simply sparkling water, 15% fruit juice and is “politely caffeinated”. At 15-25 calories per can, this is it. This is the soda alternative you want to drink!
Throughout the gathering, everyone kept commenting on Wave Soda and how good it was. “I’m going to have to buy some of this.” “This is so much better than any other sparkling water I’ve ever had.” “Where can I buy this?”
We know! We know! It’s just that good! IMBHO-yes!
We purchased two of the 6 flavor variety 12-packs from the Wave Soda website, which included Mango, Blackberry, Blueberry, Apple, Tangerine and Grapefruit. It cost us $17.40 per 12 pack ($1.45 per can). Shipping was free with a discount code. You can also purchase on Amazon now. A 12-pack costs $17.38. Shipping is free, if you’re a Prime customer.
There are no definitive favorites in terms of flavor, as each flavor profile is uniquely its own and delightfully refreshing.
The first ingredient is carbonated water and the second ingredient is the juice reflected on the label. For instance, Grapefruit Wave Soda has grapefruit juice as its second ingredient. Thereafter you may find a blend of juices such as pear and lemon juice, with vegetable juice used for color. Caffeine is derived from coffee beans, which gives you 42mg of caffeine per can.
If you don’t want caffeine, go for the Apple Wave Soda. This is the only one that contains zero caffeine.
In terms of packaging, all cans are BPA free. This company also gives back through 1% for the Planet, giving 1% of their annual sales to the Surfrider Foundation whose mission is “dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.”
If you’re hooked on soda and want to find a healthier drink, you must try Wave Soda. After all, this company was built by Nat Noone, a self-professed Diet Coke addict, who at one time was drinking 12-14 cans of Diet Coke per day. Developing Wave Soda helped him kick the diet soda habit and it’s also redefining the soda industry. Thank you, Nat!
One would never have guessed that soda could be considered a healthy drink. #wavesoda
