When you eat a Nudge Coffee Bomb, you swear you’re eating a candy-coated creamy chocolate.
To test the Nudge theory that people think they’re eating chocolate when they’re not, we hid the Nudge tin when offering these up for testing. Every time we heard, “It’s coffee and chocolate, right?” Wrong!
These coffee bombs contain zero chocolate. They do, however, use a mixture of coffee and cocoa butter to give these melt-in-your-mouth energy grenades their texture. They are fantastic in flavor. The Colombian is more mild, whereas the Brazilian is bolder and makes you think you’re eating dark chocolate.
Each Nudge tin equates to six cups of coffee, so consuming a whole tin at once probably isn’t something you should do. In fact, it states clearly on the package, “We recommend first trying no more than 15 bombs. Please enjoy responsibly.” A serving size is 32 pieces and there are about 2.5 servings per container, according to the nutrition label. For each serving, you’re looking at 120 calories.
While the coffee bombs are free from GMOs, soy and dairy, they do use both Erythritol and Monk Fruit Extract as sweetening agents. If these types of sweeteners disrupt your digestion, you’ll want to tread lightly in consuming these. If you have no issues with these sweeteners, then grab a tin (or three) and enjoy a quick pick-me-up anytime of the day.

On the Eat Nudge website, that’s all we could find about this company. Digging a little further, we found an article on Food Navigator that gives a lot more information on the product and its intentions. What are those intentions? Simply put, it’s to use the whole coffee bean.
When making coffee, only 20% of the coffee flavors come out and the rest are not water soluble. In fact, according to David Burke, CEO of The Whole Coffee Co.,“ there are more than 1,200 flavors in the bean that don’t make it into brewed coffee.”
