Ocean’s Halo big bowl o’ noodles

Ocean’s Halo is true to its name! This company started in 2011 by four dads and is totally ocean friendly!

From all organic ingredients to sustainable packaging, this company goes green or goes home.

Ocean’s Halo donates a portion of their profits to organizations that promote ocean conservation, and they also donate to the Monterey Bay Aquarium Sea Otter Program.

I didn’t find the flavor of this soup to be extraordinarily impressive. It definitely wasn’t bad, but I thought it seemed heavy on the ginger. My 4-year-old, on the other hand, couldn’t get enough of it! She’s not big on carbs and refuses to eat a lot of noodles, so I was really shocked that she enjoyed the soup so much. She even insisted that I go to the store and get her more!

What I found impressive was the quality of the dried veggies. It’s the little things, man! They smelled deliciously herbaceous when I opened them up, and the texture of the veggies after cooking was delightful.

The big bowl of noodles is on the high end price for ramen. We purchased it from the Thrive Market for $7.98. (Sorry, Evelyn, I don’t think Mom will be stocking up on these.) You can also find Ocean’s Halo products in Whole Foods Market, Kroger, Walmart and Amazon.

Factoring in my daughter’s love for the product, but balancing it out with how much Mom has to pay for it, we give Ocean’s Halo an IMBHO-Maybe. Yes—it’s good, but not good enough for this mom to shell out any more clams for it! :)
