As health nuts, we have tried many bone broths. Why? Because they offer a nutritional profile that’s hard to beat.

Because the quality has been so low with every bone broth we’ve ever purchased, we reverted to making our own. It’s a long process.

But when someone isn’t feeling well, bone broth always comes to the rescue, so having it on hand is a must.

Enter Fond. (Thank you, Instagram, for bringing this to our attention.) What a terrific name, Fond, for something that is brilliantly delicious and healthy!

We tried four flavor profiles—each one with its own unique blend of free range chicken plus organic vegetables & herbs.

Spring Clean is bright and citrusy, with lemon, radish, onion and garlic. The salt level is perfect, creating a bone broth that greets the taste buds with a sense of wellbeing by providing the body with digestive support and cleansing.

Need a healthful gravy for Thanksgiving? Bouquet Garni includes sage, thyme and rosemary. We cooked some gluten-free noodles, drained the water then slow simmered them with Fond’s bone broth tonic—beautifully seasoned and not over salty. This bone broth is great for beautifying, digestive support, and cognitive support.

Another that would go well with Thanksgiving is Youth Tonic. It includes shitake mushrooms, shallots and sage. It’s a little lighter on the sage than the Bouquet Garni and has a nice umami from the shitake.

Finally, we tried the Liquid Light, with a flavor profile built around turmeric, thyme and black pepper. It was very turmeric forward and if you’re someone with a turmeric allergy, it’s best to pass by this one. However, if turmeric is your friend, this bone broth has anti-inflammatory properties, is immune boosting, and provides digestive support.

All Fond bone broths are keto and paleo, made with organic ingredients. They are also gluten and sugar free.

As for the price, they are a bit on the expensive side, but you’re paying for quality. We purchased our broth from the Fond website, which gives you free shipping if you purchase two 4-packs. The bone broth comes in pint-size Mason jars. Each four-pack costs around $32.

If you don’t want to purchase online, check your local Sprouts. It appears this retailer carries Fond bone broth.

Oh, and our favorite was Spring Clean and we just ordered 8 more jars!

Warning! You don’t want to microwave your bone broth. This kills all the good stuff in the broth. Just heat gently in a pan on the stove (don’t let it boil) and pour into a mug.

With the cold weather coming on strong, now is the perfect time to sip on a cup of organic bone broth. We think you’ll become as fond of Fond as we are. IMBHO-yes!

  • If you prefer beef bone broth instead of chicken, Fond has it, too. Flavor profiles include Ginger Cleanse, Stressless, and Firstade. If you want to try a variety, you can build your own box. Totally worth it!

In the video below, meet the CEO & founder, Alysa. She shares her personal story about why she developed Fond bone broth. It’s both heartbreaking and hope filled. #Love #WomanOwnedBusiness
