Rhythm’s organic carrot sticks are dried not fried, but basted with organic sunflower oil and sea salt to produce a crispy carrot snack that is naturally sweet and satisfying. The first whiff of the product when cracking open the bag highlights fresh, sweet carrots. Even the appearance of the snack is appetizing, bright orange.

One bag of the carrot sticks (1.4oz) is 150 calories with 28 grams of carbs and 11 grams of fiber. Since it’s carrots, you also get 20% of your daily Potassium and 15% of your Vitamin A. Plus, these crunchy snacks are organic, non-gmo, gluten free, vegan and kosher.

Rhythm SuperFoods is a company out of Austin, Texas, that started experimenting with air-crisped kale chips in the kitchen of a juice bar. They claim to be a “lean, mean snack innovation machine”, and “food-loving, fitness-loving, dog-loving, nature-loving, music-loving superfood gurus”. Find out more about the Rhythm team here.

Beyond the carrot sticks, Rhythm ventured into cauliflower bites, beet chips, kale chips, and fruit snacks. We selected the white cheddar organic cauliflower bites as our second product to try.

From the moment we opened the bag, we knew we selected the wrong product, but the keto-tarians wanted to try something with fewer carbs. The unpleasant stench of cauliflower filled the room.

In comparison, reheating cauliflower at work is a big no-no. It’s happened before, and the smell permeates the office. It’s not a good scene for visitors. What is that smell? Did something die?

That same intense odor is what you can expect when opening a bag of the cauliflower bites. Not good… even if you like cauliflower.

We trudged on, not beaten by the smell, and dipped into the bag. For most of us, it was one bite too many. For one of us, the smell overwhelmed the senses, and he stepped away refusing to taste. We quickly closed the bag and shook our heads. “No way!”

It was an unfortunate series of events, trying these cauliflower bites, but we had to be honest with our audience.

After some discussion, we gave Rhythm Superfoods an IMBHO-yes. We love the carrot sticks and we love the company. The cauliflower gets a no, but we will not let one clearly-crazy cauliflower bite spoil our enjoyment of the other product and the company.
