Sometimes we guess right. This is one of those times.

Snacklins delivered exactly what we expected and wanted; a savory seasoned, crunchy snack with a peppery ending.

The ingredients are clean and simple: yuca, mushroom, sunflower oil, onion, spice and sea salt. It was the fragrance coming from the bag that immediately piqued our interest. #OldBaySeasoning

While the label doesn’t indicate it uses Old Bay Seasoning, Snacklins certainly “borrowed” from this spice blend of celery salt, red and black peppers, and paprika. There was a touch of smokiness, sweetness, and the hit of pepper at the end when we ate Snacklins, and we loved it.

While the Snacklins are a bit shiny in appearance, which made us think they’d come across as greasy, this is far from the truth. They are wonderfully crunchy and spiced to perfection, with no greasy mouth feel. #EatTheWholeBag Yes, that’s what we wanted to do… so we did!

We purchased our Chesapeake Bay flavored Snacklins from Thrive Market for $2.29 per bag, but there are other flavors available, including Barbeque, Miso Ginger and Nacho.

You can purchase this product on the Snacklins website, from other online outlets including Amazon and FreshDirect, as well as in retailers across the country.

What started as a joke between friends (to create a vegan pork rind) has turned into a success story. For the “crazy crunchy, perfectly puffy, simple-ingredient, satisfying snack made from ingredients that a kid can pronounce,” we give Snacklins an IMBHO-yes!
