This is the second blog post on the Safe + Fair company. Previously we covered the Birthday Cake Granola, which was a big hit around the office. This time the big hit was the Sweet Jalapeno Pea Protein Chips. So good!

We were all expecting a flat chip, but these chips are light and airy with a delicate crunch. They are plant based, non-GMO, gluten free and boast 9 grams of protein per serving (about 23 chips). Unfortunately, they are not keto…though not terrible at 10 grams of carbs per serving.

I tend to get a little nervous when jalapeno is in the flavor profile. I like it—but not a lot of it. That makes these chips even better…the jalapeno isn’t overwhelming. Just know, if you purchase these hoping to get a big hit of hot, you might be disappointed.

The protein chips are really tasty, so I’m headed back to the site to purchase the other flavors. That makes these an IMBHO-yes!

These chips are vegetarian, not vegan. Because they are processed in a facility that manufactures products containing milk, soy and wheat, they don’t get the vegan vote of confidence due to possible cross contamination. That would be my only suggestion for this product – find a facility that is free from these allergens and process there. This would allow individuals, with allergies to even small amounts of milk, soy and wheat, the ability to enjoy these chips as well.

If you haven’t already, be sure to visit the Safe + Fair website. Learn about their story and check out their products; we’re sure there will be something you’ll find and love. And let them know IMBHO sent you!
